Ability In Disability (AID) has officially launched it’s talent hunt contest in commemoration of the International Day of Persons With Disabilities. Winner is expected to take home a grand prize while runner up will receive a consolation prize.
The Executive Director, Nick Bebiem, in a statement made available to Inclusive News Network, said he acknowledged his supporters and team in organizing a laudable reality show such as the AID Talent Hunt which is the first of its kind in Nigeria.
He said in part “Today being the International Day of Persons With Disabilities, is a day set aside to recognise and celebrate persons with disability all over the world. The aim of observing this day each year is to increase awareness, understanding of disability issues, and the gains to be derived from the integration of people with disabilities in every aspect of life. The celebration of this day is also an important tool in promoting the rights of people with a disability.”
“This year’s theme “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World” for me reminds us that we need to bounce back better despite how rough the year may have been.”
“Over the years, there have been reports emanating from people with Disabilities on the issue of discrimination and stigamtization. It is time to put an end to it! It is time for their voices to be heard! It is time to give an opportunity to them just as given to others and they deserve to be loved and cared for.”

The winner will be awarded a grand prize and first runner, a consolation prize.
