A Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Jibore Foundation has supported a wheelchair user as she delivered her baby.

In a statement made available to our correspondent, the Executive Director, Bolarin Joy explained that the woman on wheelchair, Mrs. Halimat Abdulazeez was engaged in knitting and supply of branded cardigans to several schools as a mean of livelihood while pregnant.

The unfortunate happened when Covid-19 pandemic ravaged the world and led to the sudden closure of schools in Nigeria. Mrs Abdulazeez was thus denied her means of livelihood for several months.

For a pregnant woman who was set for delivery, the situation is almost unbearable and Mrs. Abdulazeez sought for help.

“She normally knit and supply to schools to have her livelihood, she was pregnant and waiting for baby delivery which requires cesarean section, covid19 which lead to sudden closure of schools affected her business since no school in session to supply cardigan”, Joy explained.

“She decided to solicit for help from Jibore Foundation to raise money for the Cesarean section. To the glory of God the operation was sponsored by the Foundation. Payment was made to the hospital on her behalf and praise be to the Almighty God, the operation was done successfully. Both mother and baby are hale and hearty”

The group said it has touched many lives and is ready to do more. It therefore solicits generous donations in order to keep the vision running and assist more people with disabilities.
