Gov. Ikpeazu appoints two persons with disability as Governor’s aid in Abia state

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has appointed a person with physical disability and a Deaf lady as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters.

Ekeoma Samuel, former special assistant to Governor on grassroots, who is now appointed as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Abia State Governor on Disability Matters, in an interview with Inclusive News Network, (INN), while appreciating everyone over the appointment, asserted that everyone has a role to play in making our environment a better place.

He added “I am urging the NGOs, Government and all stakeholders of all diversity to join as a team to make Nigeria a better place where lives will be valued and respected irrespective of gender background or Disabilities.”

A letter, made available to INN, addressed to Ekeoma Samuel, through Chief of staff to the Governor of Abia state reads “I write to inform you that Okezie Ikpeazu (PH.D), the Governor of Abia state has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters with effect from October 6,2020”

Another person with disability, Mrs Anthonia Isiguzo, an amazing women leader of Abia state Deaf community was also appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Deaf Matters
