Chidi Olujie, the Presidential Aspirant of the Nigeria National Association of the Deaf (NNAD) spoke on why he said “we” will bring the world to Nigeria in an interactive session on livevideo on Facebook titled “AskChidi” on Wednesday.
He asserted, “When World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) comes to Nigeria, we will have more collaborations, empowerment, grant, Federal government will recognise Deaf and know more of us. Not only that, we will bring Nigeria to the world.”
He added that he and his team will work hard to get the hosting rights for Nigeria.
Speaking on Gallaudet University coming to Nigeria, he said we will work hard to make it happen, adding that once a Deaf University is established in Nigeria, several countries will flow into Deaf University in Nigeria to have Special Deaf education experiences.
“We also have Deaf Nigerians in different countries. For example, in Gallaudet University, we have more than 10 Deaf Nigerians working there. We can make them come to Nigeria to share their experiences with us and see how they can help us,” he added.
