Special Public Works: 1,600 Persons With Disabilities To Receive N20,000 Monthly In Kwara

No fewer than 1,600 persons living with disability in the 16 local government areas of Kwara state are to benefit from the three-month federal government’s special public works programme.

Addressing Journalists the leadership of Persons living with Disabilities(PLWD) in Ilorin, the state committee chairman of the programme, Mr Oluwasegun Oyewo, said that the 1,600 PLWD which was 10 percent of a total 16,000 beneficiaries of the programme, with 1,000 beneficiaries each in every local government area of the state.

Mr Oyewo said that beneficiaries should be minimum of 18 years and not above 50 years of age.

He explained that the beneficiaries do not necessarily have to be indigenes of the state of their residents to benefit from the gesture.

Mr Oyewo noted that the programme would run between October and December, 2020 and the beneficiaries would be given N20,000 monthly.
