Persons With Disabilities Signed up as Members of State Community Policing Team In Gombe State

Gombe state Governor H.E Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, included the representatives of Persons with Disabilities in Gombe state into the state community policing.

In a statement issued by the secretary general of Gombe state Joint Association of Persons with Disabilities, Mr Adamu Ishaq and made available to Inclusive News Network, INN, correspondent in Gombe state, he said “We thank H.E Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the executive Governor of Gombe state for including the representatives of Persons with Disabilities in Gombe state into the state community policing. This is a good example of an inclusive governance as we always advocate for. It’s a clear departure from the past where Persons with Disabilities were only invited to tick the box”

“Just like women groups, youths, religious and other key stakeholders in the society, Persons with Disabilities will now sit on the same table as equal members of the committee and contribute to the peaceful co-existence and security of our dear state” He added
