An Abuja based Non Governmental Organization, “Deaf Women Aloud Initiative” at the weekend organized a Sensitization Workshop and donated Palliative materials to Deaf Women particularly single mothers and widows in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
INN Correspondent gathered that the program was organized at First Baptist Church, Keffi in Nasarawa State.
At the end of the sensitization programme, various palliative materials such as cartons of Indomie, rice, beans, oil, tomatoes and crates of eggs were distributed to the selected Deaf Women by the NGO.
Leader of Deaf Women Association of Nigeria (DWAN) Keffi Chapter, Mrs Kaltume Ismaila Tanko expressed appreciation to the founder of the NGO for her tireless efforts and concern towards Deaf Women.
On her part, the CEO of the Deaf Women Aloud Initiative, Mrs Helen Beyioku Alase advised the Deaf Women both educated and uneducated to live peacefully with their husband while reminding them that Covid-19 is real.
Beyioku-Alase also urged them to always wash their hands with clean water/use a hand sanitizer, wear face masks, observe social distancing, and stay clean at home.
