President Mohammed Buhari’s social policy targeted at lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty seem to be paying off as thousands of Persons with Disabilities in Yobe State, amongst others, have been beneficiaries of the President’s Post-Covid intervention measures.
The beneficiaries, numbering about 100,000, each received the sum of N5000 last week.
The funds will continue for a period of six months and will go a long way to help with basic needs of the beneficiaries.
APC Zonal Leader (Disabled) Northeast Caretaker, Comrade Mohammed Abba Isa, in a statement released on Monday lauded Hon. Mai Mala Buni, Executive Governor of Yobe State for the role he played in ensuring People Living With Disabilities (PLWD) in Yobe State were beneficiaries of the social scheme.
Isa also thanked the Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons With Disabilities, NCPWD, Mr James Lalu for the transparency and inclusiveness which ensured all those captured benefited Mr. President’s largess.
