CCD Visits LASODA, Seeks Partnership To Amplify Advocacy For Marginalized Groups

by Inclusive News Network

The Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) has continued to set landmark standards on the subject of addressing critical issues affecting the inclusion and active participation of PWDs in programs and activities of Lagos State and the country as a whole.

As part of its mandate on advocacy for the creation and promotion of an inclusive society, the CCD team made a courtesy call at the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA), Alausa Ikeja.

The visit was aimed at forming a partnership with the agency (LASODA) on ‘Access to Justice and Political Participation’ for women, the elderly, youth and Persons with Disabilities in Lagos State. The project, supported by Voice Nigeria will be leveraging on capacities of relevant stakeholders to amplify the voice of marginalized minority groups.

Mr. Dare Dairo (General Manager, LASODA) and other top officials of the agency were on hand to receive the team. Deliberations were fruitful and the GM made clear LASODA’s readiness to partner with CCD in executing programs that will foster rapid development, active participation, and full inclusion of PWDs in State’s programs.
