Commissioner Donates 250k To Association Of The Blind In Adamawa, Gets Award

The Adamawa State Commissioner for Works and Energy Development, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar has donated the sum of #250,000 to the Nigeria Association of the Blind, Adamawa chapter.

Alhaji Abubakar gave the cash gift when the association paid an official visit to his office on Wednesday, 11th August to confer a prestigious award on him.

The award, amongst other reasons, was based on the Commissioner’s outstanding performances, including his efforts in completing Government programs, humanitarian initiatives and empowerment services to widows, women groups, students, as well as the poor and needy

The Hon. Commissioner, in his response, thanked the Association’s chairman, Mr Bitrus Richard for the recognition and honor.

In addition to the cash gift of N250,000.00 donated to help in purchase of a vehicle for the association’s use, Abubakar also gave them a sum of N100,000 as transport reimbursement.
