We Need To Give More Attention To Supporting Compatriots With Disabilities – Kingsley Moghalu

Kingsley Moghalu, a former Presidential aspirant of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) at the 2019 General elections, has urged Nigerians to give increased attention to supporting compatriots with disabilities.

He made the call after visiting studio24 where he encountered Queen Maria Okese, a Deaf photographer who took perfect passport photos of him. This singular act, to him, indicates ‘ability in disability’.

The former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, after the encounter with the Deaf photography queen, posted on social media: “Maria, a photographer at Studio 24 in Abuja, is living with a disability (she can’t speak audibly). A cheerful and pleasant young lady, she just took my passport photos. Great job! Glad to support her hustle.

“We need to pay far more attention to supporting our compatriots with disabilities.” He said.
