Barely two weeks after the demise of Prince Paul Adelabu, former Chair and Board of Trustees, Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD), the Nigerian Persons with Disabilities Community have lost another leader.
The Arewa Disability Forum (ADF) has formally announced the demise of its Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Sani Bakura.
The sad event occurred Sunday 15th, August 2021, after a brief illness at his Gusau, Zamfara State home. The remains of the departed soul was laid to rest yesterday, Monday 16th, August 2021 at 10am according to Islamic rites.
ADF, Vice Chairman, Comr. Musa. M. Musa who broke the sad news of his death to our correspondent on behalf of the group, condoled with the People and Government of Zamfara State and Persons with Disabilities of northern extraction. He also extended condolences to the immediate family of the deceased and the larger body of PWDs in Nigeria.
Comr. Musa’s condolence reads in part: “Arewa Persons with Disabilities Forum is saddened by this irreplaceable vacuum created by the transition of it founding fathers and leader. We are however consoled by the exemplary leadership, consistency and doggedness he displayed as a leader. We continue to seek for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy upon the soul of late Baba and other leaders who passed away recently”.
