Nigeria reports 437 new COVID-19 cases, total now 46,577

Nigeria yesterday, reported 437 new cases in the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) new record released on Sunday, 9 August, 2020.

Lagos, the epicentre of COVID-19 in Nigeria led with 107 new cases, followed closely by FCT with 91 infections and third by Plateau with 81 with such a huge COVID-19 cases for the first time.

Others are as follows, Kaduna -32 Ogun -30 Kwara -24 Ebonyi -19 Ekiti -17 Oyo -8 Borno -6 Edo -6 Kano -4 Nasarawa -3 Osun -3 Taraba -3 Gombe -2 Bauchi -1

The new report indicates that about 17 states were infected with the new infections with 46,577 patients confirmed, 33,186 discharged and 945 deaths recorded.
