Victoria Oluwaseun, the brain behind “One Community, One Industry” initiative is set to establish a cottage industry for a cooperative society of the Joint Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD) in Ede, Osun State.
The glad tiding was announced at an event held in llesa Victory Complex, Ireti Ayo, with 16 members of the co-operative society in attendance.
At the occasion, each member was challenged and given some coconut seedlings to invest, and their progress was to be monitored. Under the cottage industry initiative, ideas like “One house, One coconut tree”, were also discussed.
Inclusive News Network, INN learnt that the beneficiaries could not hide their joy as they narrated various experiences encountered in the production process of the locust bean, the main cottage industry in Ede.
They were also given machines to use to make production easier and efficient, and to meet demands of their respective customers.
