Anambra Governor’s wife, Dr (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano has concluded her 2020 Local Government Tour at Anambra East, having visited all the other LGAs in Anambra State where she gave palliatives to over ten thousand persons made up of widows, the aged, children and persons with Disabilities.
Dr (Mrs) had begun the tour seven years ago, just after her husband, Chief Willie Obiano, assumed office as the Governor of Anambra State, and has made the visit a primary schedule in her annual calendar ever since.
At each of the visits, the Governor’s wife engages the people, especially rural women on critical issues relating to health, politics, social welfare and community development.
She also gives updates on the programes of her non-governmental organization, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, including the free skill acquisition training and empowerment for women and youths, free surgeries for children with cleft lips and palates and provision of prosthetic arms and limbs for the physically challenged, among others.
