Mulade hails establishment of N75bn Youth Investment Fund, asks Niger Delta youths to avail themselves of it

The National Coordinator, Chairman/CEO of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), Chief Sheriff Mulade, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the N75 billion for the establishment of Nigerian Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) tagged Youth Bank.

He charged Niger Delta youths to take advantage of the provision made available by the Federal Government in establishing the Fund.

While speaking with newsmen on July 22, Chief Mulade advised creative Nigerian youths to seize the opportunity to develop themselves and grow the nation’s economy by developing buyable proposals for growth. He told Niger-Delta youths to make themselves available, develop materials and tap into the resources in order to grow their businesses and resources.

The CEPEJ boss urged the Federal Government, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and the team entrusted with the responsibility to manage the funds to be diligent and accountable in handling it. Chief Mulade also charged the office not be biased in the selection and approval of qualified youths for the provision of funds for development.

The N75billion which was approved by President Buhari is for the youths between the ages of 18 and 35, who have genuine business ideas for self and creative development. Those eligible are expected to develop a proposal and pitch their ideas in any of the approved 125 Micro- Finance Banks across the country and qualified candidates would have access to the funds to grow their businesses and innovative technologies and aspects of capital development.

The fund is slated to be used to develop youths in agriculture, small and medium enterprises, businesses, innovations as well as technological development.
