NNAD Election: I Will Bring The World To Nigeria – Chidi Olujie Assures

A Presidential Candidate for the forthcoming election of the Nigeria National Association of the Deaf (NNAD), Hon. Chidi Olujie has promised to bring the world to Nigeria through the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) event.

He made the promise during the press conference/declaration campaign for Chidi Olujie/Haruna Tsafe as President/Vice Presidential candidates of Nigeria National Association of the Deaf (NNAD) held on Friday in Lagos.

Olujie who said he has a lot in stock to offer if elected, however hinted that he has the Deaf women, children, youths, elders and education in mind.

“Our goal is to bring changes that our people have not seen before,” he said.

Chidi, who was a candidate for House of Assembly in his home town in Ukwa East, Abia State under the umbrella body of People Democracy Party (PDP) during the last election, added that with the establishment of National Commission for Persons with Disabilities recently by President Buhari, the Deaf will have full participation in its community.

“Also with World Federation of the Deaf, everybody will work together to bring the world to Nigeria”

He also called for support to ensure his victory at the polls.

Chidi’s running mate and Vice Presidential candidate for NNAD election, Haruna Tsafe speaking through sign language during the press conference organised by Chidi Olujie Support Group, said that the goal of the group is to impact the life of Deaf community in all ramifications through government programme and policies.

He said, “Deaf people need jobs, education, agriculture support, healthcare, we will partner with government bodies, Non governmental organization (NGO), international community to see that Deaf are fully included in the society so that no one will be left behind”

While thanking President Buhari for the establishment of National Commission for Persons with Disabilities, he urged the government to do more by considering people with Disability in all sectors of the nation’s economy.

“We thank Mr. President Buhari for the establishment of people with Disability into National Disability Commission (NDC)”

“Buhari’s government has shown all inclusive government by first assenting the Disability Act into law and now appointed the Board members and Executive Secretary that will pilot the affairs of the NDC.”

“We thank him and we want him to do more to consider people with Disability in all sectors of life” he added.

Thank you, president of Nigeria National Association of Deaf, HON CHIDI OLUJE, for bring the world to us ( in Nigeria) which was not seen in past.
