JONAPWD, Uzodinma’s Aide Congratulate Jaja On Appointment Into Disability Commission

The Joint National Associations of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Imo State Chapter has congratulated Mr Jaja Oparaku Onyejelam on his appointment into the National Disability Commission, South East by President Muhammadu Buhari.

JONAPWD, in a statement signed by its Secretary, Hon. Jude Okparaeke, thanked President Buhari for finding Jaja worthy of being in the Board, while also expressing appreciation to President Buhari for his magnanimity in constituting the National Disability Commission in accordance with the provisions of the Disability Prohibition Law of 2018.

The body also thanked some key disability advocates who had been at the forefront of the agitation, while also charging Onyejelam and Philomena Isioma Kenwea to see their appointments as members of the Commission as an opportunity to serve.

“We also thank those who have been at the forefront of this agitation, people like Dist. Sen. Osita Izunaso, Mazi David Anyaele, Chief Eric Ufom and numerous others for their doggedness in this struggle,” the statement added.

In a related development, the Senior Special Assistant to Imo State governor on Special Citizens, Hon Charles Ebonuma also congratulated Onyejelam on his appointment.

According to him, Hon Onyejelam (Jaja) is a man of impeccable character, wit and great potentials whose appointment is timely and well deserved.

He described him as a sincere and reliable friend who is very passionate about the welfare of the special citizens in all levels.

Ebonuma, however, encouraged him to maintain his noble personality and good works because ”it pays to do good and from whom much is given, much more is expected”, he said.

He heartily congratulated him and also prayed for God to grant him abundant grace and strength to discharge his duties without fear or favour.
