Total of COVID-19 Infection Cases in Nigeria Hit 52,548 with 321 New Cases.

Nigeria experienced 321 new COVID-19 cases in the new report released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday, 24 August 2020.

Lagos, the epicentre of COVID-19 in Nigeria led with 98 cases, followed by the FCT with 34 and Kaduna with 30.

Other States are; Nasarawa-25 Benue-21 Plateau-17 Rivers-15 Adamawa-11 Ogun-11 Enugu-9 Edo-8 Delta-7 Ekiti-7 Gombe-5 Ebonyi-4 Bayelsa-3 Kano-3 Ondo-3 Cross River-2 Imo-2 Kebbi-2 Niger-2 Abia-1 Bauchi-1

The report indicated that about 24 States were recorded with the infections. While 39,257 persons have recovered and been discharged, a total of 1004 deaths have been recorded so far.
