Reports from the new COVID-19 cases released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday, 21 August, 2020 indicates that 340 new cases were recorded.
The new report had the following lead with Kaduna leading the chart with 63, followed by FCT with 51 and Plateau with 38.

The figures mean that about 19 states were listed in the new COVID-19 cases. 51,304 patients were confirmed in Nigeria while 37,885 were discharged, deaths toll hit 996 with 4 dead patients.
