Lagos Leads in the New Report on COVID-19 as Total Hits 50,964

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 476 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet posted on Thursday, 20 August, 2020.

About 18 States were recorded in the new cases with Lagos leading the chart with 235 cases, followed closely is FCT with 44 cases and Kaduna with 41 cases.

Others listed are Borno-33 Plateau-28 Abia-13 Edo-13 Rivers-12 Imo-11 Oyo-10 Kano-9 Kwara-7 Enugu-5 Katsina-5 Gombe-4 Ogun-4 Nasarawa-1 Zamfara-1

The number of confirmed patients as of today are 50,964, while discharged cases in Nigeria stand at 37,569 discharged and deaths cases at 992.
