With end of year approaching and every Deaf in every states of Nigeria, celebrating their International week of the Deaf in different ways. DRC, lead by Tinat Timothy, celebrated International week of the Deaf and end of year get together party, Friday in entertaining ways.
Read what he has to say:
“This year has been super awesome through thick and thin and we are very proud of all our achievements so far and belive we can always do better.
We had fun and several games were played and educative discussions were presented by both the Deafs, Sign Language Interpreters, Children’s of Deaf Adults (CODA), Siblings of Deaf Adults (SODA), Parents, and friends of the Deaf community in the capital city of Nigeria.
We couldn’t help but bring together EVERYONE who have shown interest and supported us this far for the fact that if not for their encouragement and support we wouldn’t have come this far.
We owe debts of gratitude to both our international friends and supporters too for making this year a memorable and productive one.
The party was inclusive, entertaining and enlightening… Yes! This is also our own way of celebrating the international week of the Deaf and with the theme ‘With Sign Language we are equal’.
Let’s Rock 2017 together and break more barriers and challenge stereotypes.
From all of us at #DRC we wish you compliments of the season and a prosperous new year in advance.
Thank you for being part of us.
