Rotary Donates Mobility Aids In Lagos

Rotary Club of Lagos has donated wheelchairs, crutches other mobility aids to the Super Parents Foundation.

The mobility aids were presented to the Foundation by the Club on 17th of February, 2023.

The gesture is an effort to make life easier for individuals with mobility challenges to help them regain their independence while improving their quality of life.

The aids donated include, 4 wheelchairs, 15 armpit crutches, 7 elbow crutches, 7 walking sticks, 20 walkers and 10 special walkers.

Speaking to Inclusive News Network, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Mrs Mofoluwasho Liasu expressed heartfelt gratitude to Rotary Club of Lagos for their generosity and support. She said the donation will go a long way in helping individuals with mobility impairments regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

“We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Lagos for their generosity and support. The donation will make a significant difference in the lives of the individuals that our organization serves.

“The donation was carefully considered, and each piece of equipment will have a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries.

“The Rotary Club of Lagos has demonstrated their commitment to making a positive impact in the community through this act of kindness. We hope that this donation will inspire others in the community to support individuals with disabilities and encourage more organizations to step up and make a difference.

“The impact of the Rotary Club of Lagos’ donation cannot be overstated. For individuals with mobility impairments, the donation of mobility aid equipment represents a renewed sense of independence and improved quality of life. Each of the mobility equipment donated by the Rotary Club of Lagos will allow individuals with mobility impairments to move around more easily, gain more independence, and ultimately, lead more fulfilling lives.”

The CEO charges government and other stakeholders to recognize the importance of supporting individuals with disabilities.

She also called on government to increase funding for disability services and to provide more resources to organizations that are dedicated to serving disability community.

“We hope that this donation will serve as a reminder that every act of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of those who are most vulnerable”, Mrs. Liasu said.
