Children of Deaf Adults (CODA), Nigeria marks its seven-year anniversary over the weekend. A Zoom conference was held that had in attendance a host of successful Children of Deaf Adults from Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the United States, and several other countries.
CodaNigeria is an Association for those with Deaf Parents in other words Codas are Children of DeafAdults.
CodaNigeria celebrated their 7th year anniversary Sunday, 16th January 2022 with a zoom meeting, highlighting their dynamics and heritage as children of Deaf Adults.
CodaNigeria is a registered Association with CAC, and it has more than 57 WhatsApp members.
Speaking with INN via a social media platform, the Founder and Vice President, Mr. Joseph Toyin Ameho, fondly known as Mr. Knight, who currently resides in Sweden, urges more participation of CODAS.
“It is no doubt that CODAS in Nigeria are certainly more than 57; we will like parents to enjoin their Coda children to join the group, once they are 18 and above. We would love for all of them to be on the WhatsApp group.
Mr. Joseph is also the current Representative of Region 7 at Cod-International (Region 7 covers the whole of Africa and the Southern Hemisphere.
