The COVID-19 cases in Nigeria which dropped started rising again with the lastest report of 221 infections by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday.

The new report revealed that Lagos the epicentre of Coronavirus still led with 59 new cases, followed by other States with Abia being the 2nd highest with 46 cases, FCT with 22, Gombe with 20 and Plateau 17.

Other States as listed by NCDC are Rivers-11 Bauchi-7 Benue-6 Ekiti-6 Imo-6 Kaduna-4 Kwara-4 Ondo-4 Ogun-3 Osun-3 Bayelsa-1 Edo-1 Kano-1

About 18 states were recorded in the list. While 56,956 confirmed cases have been reported in Nigeria, 48,305 were discharged from isolation centres and 1,094 deaths recorded so far.
