The first female Acting Chief judge, Justice ijem Onwuamegbu, from anambra state who made history as the first Chief judge of the state to appoint a lawyer with disability to the position of Magistrate, retires from the bench.
INN could recall that the Governor of Anambra State, His execellency, Willie Obiano, had earlier on March 1st 2019, appointed the First female Chief Judge in state in the person of Justice ijem Onwuamegbu making her another female to be appointed, after Lady Virginia Etiaba governed the state, thereby becoming the first female governor in Nigeria’s history in 2006.
Justice Ijem’s short time appointment paid off as she made history by appointing the first physically challenged Senior Magistrate in Anambra State, Nasiah Ife-Ezeanyim Okoye, INN gathered
